Költségvetési Felelősségi Intézet Budapest (KFIB)

Founded in February 2011, Fiscal Responsibility Institute Budapest (FRIB) seeks to improve fiscal transparency and civil control of public resources in Hungary by providing fiscal data, carrying out impact assessments and econometric calculations related to fiscal policy, and producing nonpartisan analytical papers.

The organization's publications on budget analysis are available in Hungarian on the FRIB budget analysis page. Also, the FRIB has produced the Baseline Projection (2011-2015) in English. The Baseline Projection is a nonpartisan analysis of the medium term macroeconomic and fiscal policies that were implemented due to economic developments and legislation enacted on 8 September 2011.
Major Current Activities

FRIB publishes baseline scenarios, fiscal impact assessments, and fiscal data that were not published before, and it makes regular appearance in the media to explain fiscal problems.
