Centro de Análisis e Investigación (Center for Research and Analysis)
Fundar was founded in 1999 with the goal of strengthening public participation in decision making and deepening democracy. Fundar is an independent, interdisciplinary and plural organization devoted to research issues related to democracy and citizen participation. Fundar monitors public policies and public institutions through applied research, critical reflection, experimentation and linkage with civil, social, and governmental actors. Budget and policy analysis are core areas of activity.

LATERAL Project Partner
The Latin America Tax Expenditure Research, Advocacy, and Learning (LATERAL) project is an innovative collaborative research, capacity-building, and advocacy initiative launched by the International Budget Partnership and ten Latin American civil society organizations in 2016. LATERAL seeks to promote policy reform by shedding light on the impact of tax expenditures on inequality across Latin America. Fundar’s LATERAL activities include:
