Policy Forum on Tanzania
Policy Forum is a coalition of CSOs that attempts to influence the policy process with the goal of greater transparency, accountability, and democracy. Improving policy for the poor is an explicit goal. PF has focused on three specific areas within its broader mission: Local Governance, Public Money, and Active Citizen Voice. In its work with the PI, PF first will seek to influence the Public Expenditure Review Process and to push for more opportunities for civil society organizations to participate in this process. Second, PF will focus on revenue collection issues with an emphasis on those from the extractive industry, which represents 4 percent of Tanzania’s GDP. Finally, PF will embark on monitoring public service delivery at the local level. Read PF’s Profile
